Mabel

Raised for slaughter and trapped in neglectful conditions, she and her sister suffered so badly from neglected hooves that they were forced to walk on their knees. By the time help arrived, it was too late for her sister, but Mabel was given a second chance. Rescued in Ohio and brought to the sanctuary in May 2023, she arrived frightened and in pain, diagnosed with Hoof Rot.

With dedicated care and treatment, she healed within a month, finally free to stand, walk, and live the life she was always meant to have. Mabel may have had a rough start, but these days, she’s living life to the fullest—and making sure everyone knows it! A true diva, she adores people far more than her fellow goats and will happily trade barnyard gossip for some extra scratches. She spends her mornings stirring up mischief, leading a stampede of chaos on the way to pasture, much to Sara’s amusement. But her favorite pastime? Chasing Anthony on the riding lawnmower like it’s her personal racecar. With her over-the-top personality and endless love for attention, Mabel isn’t just surviving—she’s thriving, one dramatic moment at a time!
